SBEO holds immense potential in the production of sustainable, low-carbon fuels.This feedstock serves as a foundation for producing sustainable, biofuels through our five state-of-the-art facilities situated in Malaysia and Indonesia. 

In November 2022, Shell Eastern Petroleum Pte. Ltd., a wholly-owned subsidiary of Shell plc (Shell), acquired EcoOils. This strategic acquisition aligns with Shell’s commitment to invest in and produce sustainable, low-carbon transport fuels. EcoOils will manufacture and supply high-quality, advanced feedstock compatible with Shell’s biofuel facilities, supporting our mutual objective of providing cleaner energy solutions.

With a robust presence spanning over 125 years in Malaysia and Indonesia, Shell’s operations encompass a diverse range of business interests. These include gas exploration and production, retail service stations, and an expanding focus on cleaner energy alternatives.
